The Account Manager acts as a liaison between 454 Creative and our clients, setting digital strategies that align with our client’s goals, nurturing clients through the agency processes and ensuring they are satisfied with our services and creative outcomes. This job is a good fit for someone who is both strategic and relational, loves building bridges with others as a part of a team, and is an effective communicator.
Here is a quick snapshot of some of the responsibilities of the Account Manager
ACCOUNT BRAND STRATEGY
- Translate the scope of work/proposal and the needs of the clients into a cohesive, actionable, strategic plan with specific tactics, often known as a 3 Month Tactical Plans (3MTPs).
- Complete Lean Marketing Framework sprints by working with the team to develop Brand Messaging, Digital Marketing Analysis (DMA), Customer Journey Funnel and 3MTP.
- Work with the Client to outline key objectives, desired outcomes and KPIs for the relationship.
- Host and lead all meetings with the client, pulling in appropriate 454 Creative Team Members and creating a prepared agenda to be sent out in advance to all participants.
- Review monthly reports from Digital Marketing Team before sending to client and work with the team to make recommendations as needed.
- Develop required content for emails, digital ads, lead magnets and other written pieces as needed.
- Maintain awareness of pay-per-click campaign strategies, objectives, budgets, account balances and communicate results, budget concerns and optimizations as needed.
ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT
- Act as an account manager to your assigned clients.
- Onboard new clients upon assignment:
- Send Welcome Packet and Introductory Emails
- Send appropriate Project Planners
- Request needed information and assets from clients
- Schedule initial meetings with clients and internal knowledge transfer meeting.
- Schedule all necessary meetings with Clients throughout their relationship with 454 Creative.
- Ensure actionable items from meetings, emails or conversations that are consistent with the Scope of Work and strategic plans, and if so, entered in Asana.
- Maintain close contact with clients, creating weekly touchpoints for project status updates or check-ins, and provide opportunities for feedback, questions and concerns.
- Troubleshoot issues with clients as they arise.
- Work with Creative Team to ensure that all creative work-product is meeting client needs, Scope of Work, and standard of excellence.
- Work with Project Manager to ensure tasks and timelines are understood and reasonable and communicate those timelines back to the client.
- Record Account Statuses weekly in Asana and report on client health at Account Status Meeting.
- Work with Project Manager to ensure clients are paying invoices promptly. Communicate work stoppage to Project Manager if necessary.
- Assess client health and report on quality of the engagement and relationship.
- Point out opportunities for 454 Creative to additionally engage with client, working with Director of Business Development to draft additional proposals and Scopes of Work.
- Look for areas where client isn’t maximizing their engagement with 454 Creative and champion the needs of the client, and the best practices/values of 454 Creative to the client.
QUALIFICATIONS
The Account Manager is a perfect role for a someone who can communicate excellently, thinks strategically and creatively, enjoys solving complex problems, and is good at developing rapport with others. The ideal candidate would have a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Business Administration or a related field, and a baseline understanding of digital marketing principles, tools, and technologies. They would also have 2-4 years of relevant client or account management experience.
