\nThe Account Manager will focus on closing the sale of ORR Protection\u2019s related fire protection systems and solutions to new and existing clients to ORR in the Northen California and surrounding market area. This effort will involve identifying, pursuing, qualifying, and closing potential clients while identifying and providing cost effective solutions. This is a remote reporting, work-from-home position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<\/b><\/div>\n\n

Identify prospects that match the profile of ORR Protection in the Data Center, Industrial, telecom, power generation and manufacturing industries.<\/li>\n\t
Generate and follow up on leads by making contact with prospects and creating interest in ORR\u2019s offerings.<\/li>\n\t
Communicate and interact with business decision makers at all levels to identify needs and requirements as well as market opportunities.<\/li>\n\t
Lead and move prospects through the sales cycle<\/li>\n\t
Perform proposal and contract review activities as required.<\/li>\n\t
Negotiate and close sales that vary in contract length and fee range.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

\nMINIMUM EDUCATION AND\/OR EXPERIENCE<\/b><\/div>\n\n
\n\t
High school diploma or equivalent education, required.<\/i><\/li>\n\t
Bachelor\u2019s degree, preferred.<\/i><\/li>\n\t
5-10 years of sales experience in fire alarm\/suppression or related industry, required;<\/i>\n\t

\u200bRelated industries would include construction, building control, and other services within mission-critical environments.<\/li>\n\t\t
Responsible for booking between $2-$3 million in installation or service contracts per year. <\/li>\n\t<\/ul>\n\t<\/li>\n\t
Experience working in Salesforce or similar CRM software, preferred.<\/i><\/li>\n\t
Proven track record of being successful in elements of a consultative sales role.<\/li>\n\t

Perform in depth trouble shooting, repair and replacement of system equipment.<\/li>\n\t
Oversee OPS personnel in coordination of service activities. <\/li>\n\t

Communicate with customers as required for service coordination or problem resolution.<\/li>\n\t

Ensure all systems meet the customer\u2019s specifications and expectations.<\/li>\n\t
Conduct system checkouts, system testing, customer training, and other related functions.<\/li>\n\t
Ensure that complete and correct documentation of a system is completed including, but not limited to, check out reports, test reports, job closing reports, customer training reports, and as-built drawings.<\/li>\n\t
Responsible for proper care and use of test equipment and tools that are assigned by the company. Responsible for the control and calibration of inspection, measuring and test equipment that is under their control.<\/li>\n\t

JOB SUMMARY<\/b><\/div>\n\n
The Fire Systems Designer works for the ORR Protection team to layout and design fire suppression and fire alarm systems for installation at customer sites. Designers convert input data into installation drawings in using CAD software, and to as-built drawings after installation. Designers are also responsible for production of submittal packages for the permitting and installation of the system. Designers are responsible for ensuring the design meets the applicable manufacturer\u2019s requirements, NFPA Standards, and local code requirements. Designers also help our field staff in obtaining technical information to assist them while they are in the field.<\/div>\n\n

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<\/b><\/div>\n\n

Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering and design tasks.<\/li>\n\t
Evaluates system designs to ensure they meet appropriate requirements. This may include customer specifications, building codes, NFPA codes and standards, manufacturer manuals and bulletins, insurance carrier requirements or others dependent upon applications.<\/li>\n\t
Prepares installation drawings that conform to input requirements. Suggests changes to the contracted scope for improvements in reliability, price reduction, or missing scope.<\/li>\n\t
Support sales effort through performing applications analysis and pre-sales design work.<\/li>\n\t
Supports the region the Designer works in by performing tasks requested.<\/li>\n\t
Communicates via email and other electronic means regarding project information internally and outside the company.<\/li>\n\t
Organizes workload and tasks autonomously. Communicates the status of each task to supervisor\/manager and internal customers on a regular and on-going basis.<\/li>\n\t
Tracks work tasks using the company provided systems.<\/li>\n\t
Organizes technical information for storage and retrieval by self and others.<\/li>\n\t
Performs self-review of completed designs as part of the quality control process. Revises designs from feedback when received from the quality control reviewer of each project.<\/li>\n\t

Research applications for fire systems and products. Become familiar with new applications\/products through active learning.<\/li>\n\t
Perform field surveys to develop new designs, modify existing systems, or assist installation personnel in complex projects.<\/li>\n\t
Interpret multiple types of trade drawings to coordinate between other trades.<\/li>\n\t
Participate in the development of drawing standards and templates for new fire protection products.<\/li>\n\t

This role serves as the strategic leader for the projects and install team within the Western region. We operate in a 'hybrid first' work environment. They report directly to the regional Operations Manager and the regional Project Coordinators and support staff report to them. Their primary responsibility is to ensure smooth and efficient operations of project and install work within the region.<\/div>\n\n

Responsible for ensuring all Projects\u2019 associates embrace the safety culture and comply with all safety initiatives.<\/li>\n\t
Mentor and develop associates for long-term opportunities to support growth of the individual and the organization.<\/li>\n\t
Hire and onboard new associates to set them up for success at ORR.<\/li>\n\t
Oversee the scheduling of projects and installation work.<\/li>\n\t
Review and approve requests for bids.<\/li>\n\t
Track and analyze financial information to ensure health of the business.<\/li>\n\t
Resolve customer issues or complaints and maintain healthy working relationships with regional customers.<\/li>\n\t
Responsible for ensuring maintenance of regional licenses\/certifications and permits.<\/li>\n\t
Work with regional Operations Manager and Sales Managers in a technical capacity as needed. Advise of job status and critical budget, scope change, and\/or customer satisfaction information.<\/li>\n\t
Work with the Design department throughout a job to ensure proper design, accurate submittals, as built drawings, and proper documentation.<\/li>\n\t
Submit design drawings to authorities having jurisdiction to obtain required approvals.<\/li>\n\t
Ensure all systems meet applicable Federal, State and local codes, manufacturer\u2019s requirements, and ORR Protection Systems standard practices and procedures.<\/li>\n\t
Ensure all systems meet the customer\u2019s specifications and expectations.<\/li>\n\t
Conduct system checkouts, system testing, customer training, and other related functions.<\/li>\n\t
Ensure that complete and correct documentation of a system is completed including, but not limited to, check out reports, test reports, job closing reports, customer training reports, and as-built drawings.<\/li>\n\t
Responsible for proper care and use of test equipment and tools that are assigned by the company. Responsible for the control and calibration of inspection, measuring and test equipment that is under their control.<\/li>\n\t
Responsible for conforming to and ensuring associates are knowledgeable and conforming to the company\u2019s quality system.<\/li>\n\t
