Celeste Los Angeles was founded in 2018 as a beauty brand with one mission; to break traditional beauty standards by making every makeup lover, enthusiast and artist feel beautiful and empowered. While they established themselves as a “must-have” brand for their high quality lash products, their brand image didn’t reflect their level of influence in the beauty industry. Starting with Lean Marketing FrameworkTM to align their marketing efforts, 454 Creative worked alongside Celeste Los Angeles’ team to give their company a fresh face with completely new brand messaging and brand identity. This accompanied designing a new logo, brand style guide, product packaging and refreshed website.
To get started in the logo design process, our Creative Team presented Celeste Los Angeles with multiple logo design options to see which resonated the most; some highlighting the celestial night sky while others reflecting the company’s California roots. The “quail logo,” a nod to California’s state bird and a symbolic representation of their tight knit community, was a clear favorite among the Celeste Los Angeles team. From there, our team paired Celeste Los Angeles’ “quail” with color treatments inspired by the energy of LA from day to night.
Once Celeste Los Angeles’ brand messaging and identity reflected the inclusivity and empowerment surrounding their company, our team created photo-worthy product packaging designed to stand out in the crowded makeup industry and capture more loyal Celeste Los Angeles customers. We also refreshed the Celeste Los Angeles website to showcase the new logo and packaging and to streamline visitors' journeys on the site.
