The 4 Ps of Marketing

Most marketing textbooks teach that marketing has four critical levers to articulate. These have become known as the 4Ps of marketing: product, pricing, placement, and promotion.

Somehow, this basic understanding of marketing fundamentals has been lost for many business leaders. Many organizations view marketing as purely promotional, with limited access to the first three Ps of product, pricing, and placement. This unfortunate shift has moved marketing from being a discipline on business fundamentals to a creative role focused on intangible outcomes or weak accountability metrics.

Paul Bresenden, President of 454 Creative, provides further insight into each of these four areas and challenges you on how to leverage them for your organization in the whitepaper The 4 Ps of Marketing.  This 5-minute read is worth your time if you’re looking for guidance on how to position marketing in your organization.
